Sunflare, a Los Angeles startup, is the first company to successfully mass produce flexible, light, affordable CIGS solar panels.
In case you are new to solar tech, CIGS flexible panels technology is lightweight, malleable, unbreakable, and wind resistant. They are great for high wind areas, as their flat installation does not increase the wind load.
Compared to crystalline Silicon, Sunflare’s flexible panels are lighter in weight as they do not use a glass base and have thinner layers of semiconductors. Sunflare panels don’t require an aluminum frame to mount, which makes it easier for marine applications, even bimini tops.
